Dragoon Blue Water Test

December 5, 2025. Dragoon Technology completed a test event with NOAA, exercising NOAA's Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Certificate of Authority (COA) from the Federal Aviation Administration and satellite communications capability over the Gulf of America with the Coriolis UAS.

A hurricane flight was originally planned, but the unusually quiet 2025 season in the Gulf did not provide an opportunity for such a test. A 'gray sky' event was instead held, and the system was tested end-to-end.

Preparations for a flight into a hurricane in 2026 are underway.
