U.S. Air Force Awards Dragoon a Phase I SBIR

October 13, 2022. The U.S. Air Force and AFWERX has awarded Dragoon Technology, LLC a Phase I SBIR research and development contract to improve Dragoon's novel hybrid electric powertrain. The goal of the project will be to increase power output, reduce volume, and structure the system for use in tube-launched UAS up to 6" in diameter. Dragoon's hybrid powertrain combines the ease of use of batteries with the long endurance made possible by energy-dense liquid fuels.
